Infrared camera with MPEG recording
In this project, a video recording system was implemented using a Blackfin BF533 DSP from Analog Devices. The video data is encoded in MPEG format and stored on an MMC card.
Within this project, the system and driver programming was carried out.
This consisted of:
- State machine
- User interface
- Battery monitoring with automatic shutdown
- Synchronization of video data
- emulated I2C driver via GPIO
- ADC driver and initialization of the video decoder via SPI
Development of an MP3 player with Windows Media DRM 10
As part of this project, the WMA9 decoder with DRM10 encryption was ported to an AMS processor with ARM9 architecture in a team.
The following subtasks were performed:
- Transfer of the Microsoft WMA9 decoder from the original Visual C++ project to a Code Warrior project
- Adaptation of the assembler sources and optimization to available memory sizes
- Integration of the ported WMA9 decoder into the customer’s framework and tests on the target hardware
- Division of the WMA9 decoder and the DRM10 software into time phases for reloading the code at runtime for memory optimization
Industrial camera for recognition of data matrix codes
The DSP DM642 from Texas Instruments was used for the industrial camera system. Commissioning was carried out on the hardware developed by the customer.
The software development included the following components:
- Software architecture under RTOS DSP/BIOS
- Video driver for input and output using the video ports and the EDMAs for different resolutions
- Driver for configuring two sensors via the I2C interface
- Initialization of an FPGA
- Integration of a TCP/IP stack and FAT driver
- Driver for an external UART, MMC driver and a GPIO device, operated with only one SPI interface
- Flash driver and PLL driver
- Secure firmware update (A/B) via UART or MMC
- Test software for all functions
- Series test with connection to PC software and result output
