Multi-room audio system
As part of this project, hardware commissioning was carried out and the system and application software for a 16-bit DSP and an 8-bit microcontroller were implemented.
The following functions were programmed for the DSP:
- Network I/O
- Audio output
- Infrared code reception
- Audio sound settings (bass, mid, treble)
The following functions were programmed for the microcontroller:
- Sending and learning infrared codes via GPIO
- Display control via RS232
- Key query and various control tasks
In a follow-up order, a serial, bidirectional and bus-compatible communication interface was developed on the DSP and the microcontroller. This transmits the data via two lines (GPIO) and supports collision handling.
